2011 tea, cake, drums and stories
~ HerStory ~
~ a Sister Circle gathering ~
We've all heard of History; often this is about His Story, told by him,
meanwhile . . . women gather together for tea and cake, bringing drums and stories
to tell and to listen to Her Story, told by Her; the female voice.
what can happen at a gathering at the Woodland therapy room?
Indoors ~ 3 or 4 seated women sit in circle, in the centre of the circle several candles are lit, surrounded by sheepskins, some treasured crystals and lovely objects are placed in the candlelight creating sacred space …
… the room is in gentle darkness, light glowing from the candles in the centre
… Amber smudges the circle and women with white sage, to clear and protect the space.
... a drum will play it's part, calling to our heartbeats from the Mother Earth heartbeat, relaxing our minds, we have a small heap of sound objects; rain stick, bells, sticks, anyone can use these to add to the story...
… then one or two women share a short story, or perhaps tell part of a story connected to an object. We tell the stories in hushed tones, engaging our imaginations in the dim light, uplifting our minds & hearts, we tell ~ we listen ~ we laugh.
~ I have loads I could tell from my journey this last year ~ and so do YOU !
... can you imagine this? If you can imagine it, then we can do it.
The group can be a marking of key portal moments that you've experienced, spiritual guidance noticed, or acted upon, on our Soul paths … our Life journeys … our evolving story.
… an uplifting quiet, warm, safe nurturing place for women to voice and be heard.
It will be an experience of communication and expression, of Listening with love, of affirmation, for women to be honoured by all present in circle.
This is a way of letting twinklings of inspirations become reality in the world, via creative wordlings, doodlings, and threadings.
Many of us have written things, or drawn, or made objects, that could be shared in a circle. Anyway, we'll let it unfold, surrounded and centred with Love and see what occurs, and just as with Reiki shares, laughter is permitted !
and tea and cake is all part of it.
Please bring One of these to share:
~ A piece of writing some 'wordlings' or 'inklings' you may have written,
~ A poem doesn't need to rhyme or scan (mine don't),
~ An object with an attached story or meaning for you,
~ A crafted object or Art piece with an attached story or meaning for you,
~ A thought process footsteps taken that lead you forward on your Soul path.
~ A sound object if you have one, e.g. rain stick, bells, sticks, singing bowl,
~ or just bring your EARS to listen, a very important aspect of the Throat Chakra.
~ A Cake
Nothing needs to be complete or finished (except the cake.)
IMPORTANT NOTE
As this is a sacred space, just as is created in any Ambience therapy treatment ~ after a person has shared some words, this is not a time to offer helpful advice, as we might normally do in conversation, we listen respectfully,
simply saying; "we honour your journey" ~ "thank you"
… and let the drum take the words to the heart of the Universe, encircled in Love.
The circle is simply a space to honour by voicing and listening, letting the energy of the words take form, to creatively come alive, a place for events to be acknowledged, for evolution to occur, for hopes and dreams to take shape, to become real, to laugh, express joy and relief !
The echos of this circle experience will rest with us for a few days afterwards, just as Reiki healing does, thoughts and connections will occur to heal us and take us forwards on our Soul paths.
Simply hearing and listening ~ evolving and becoming our dreams and visions.
Then we break for tea and cake.
